The selections on this album have been placed in an order that should approximate the usual running order of ballet class, starting with barre work and moving to the centre. To be sure, individual tastes will vary as to the appropriate ordering of ballet exercises.

Also, please note that this recording offers alternative selections along the way, in an attempt to meet as many musical needs as possible.

The designations provided for the music should be regarded as suggestions only. For instance, the Grand Battement en Cloche music at the barre might be useful as an allegro in the centre. The music for sissones may be preferable to some for pirouette practice. There should be several other possibilities.

TEACHERS AND STUDENTS ARE INVITED AND ENCOURAGED TO USE THIS MUSIC IN ANY MANNER THEY WISH TO MEET THEIR INDIVIDUAL NEEDS AND REQUIREMENTS.
